Pot-in-Pot Trees
| In August 2000, Jackson's Nursery began to grow shade and
ornamental trees in a revolutionary growing system called "Pot-in-Pot".
First, field tile is set in place to allow proper drainage under the pots.
Next, holes are dug for the row of "socket pots", which are placed on top of
the field tile. Then, pots containing the small tree and the growing medium
are placed inside the socket pots. The trees are irrigated and fertilized
to promote fast growth.
Pot-in-Pot trees grow faster than trees planted in the soil. They may be harvested and planted year-round. They have a fibrous root system (no tap roots), which enables better transplant success. Contact Jackson's Nursery for TREES TO GO. |
